Hi…
My name is Novroz (this is my real name if I shorten my real name), I am Kame and Kroten’s mommy.I have my own blog called Polychrome Interest where I wrote about everything that I like to write.
I used to write everything about my turtles in that blog, but I decided to make their own blog even though a lot of my friends think that I am a little screwed in the head for acting as if my turtles can write a blog.
So…I hope you will enjoy my babies’ blog

Hi there, love the blog. They are two beautiful turtles! My little RES is not quite as big, yet. Getting there. My question was, I watched your video, and it said together since 2008. I am curious, who did you have first? And did they respond okay when you put them together?
I want to get my King Tut a fellow tank mate but am not sure if he will be aggressive because he has been alone all of his life, and he is not nearly as gentle as your girls. He will nip and bite and hiss if we have him out of the tank too long. But we did not raise him, he was raised by a young girl and her big brother and they did not care for him properly so we are working on him. But I think getting him a tank mate would have him react similar to Kroten where she got less scared and more of a follower. I would love to see him “come out of his shell more often” as the saying goes.
Keep blogging!
Tasha
Hi Tasha, thank you for stopping by and the love
I have Kame in 2006,I thought Kame was a bit lonely so I bought a new one. Unfortunately, they didn’t get along well. It took more than a year but less than 2 years to finally see them getting along.
When Kroten was smaller, Kame liked to bully her…but when Kroten was a bit bigger, she was the one who bullied Kame.
King Tut is a nice name.So happy to hear that you have rescued him. If King Tut is a male, he really needs a companion.
We will keep blogging
Novroz, Kame & Kroten
Hi Novroz,
Thanks for the reply. So it just took some getting used to for them to figure each other out, sort of like real siblings.
Thank you for the compliments on the name, I will be shopping around for a mate soon. Do you think another male would be best companion or a female?
I will keep reading
Tasha, and King Tut
well…when I said companion, I meant female companion
There will come a time when King Tut wants to mate. Having 2 female turtles is not a big problem to me, females don’t end up with her thing sticking out…if you know what I mean
I have a post here somewhere how a male suddenly aroused just by a single touch of the owner.
If you do buy him a mate, make sure she isn’t too small and watch for aggresiveness. Separate them in different tanks if Tut becomes too aggresive.
