About Kroten

My name is taken from Schildkroten (Turtles in German). I am a morph Red ear Slider. My Mommy adopted me on March 19, 2008. I am the oldest in Novroz's turtle family :)

  2. Debbie Adams says:

Aw, she is looking at Toga’s foot and tail.
I too am sorry to hear about Toga.

    Aunt Deb xx

      Yes she did 🙂
I couldn’t capture it as she moved too fast, Kroten was actually trying to bite Toga’s tail through her tank. She is always trying to bite everything.

Toga was my father’s, I missed her dearly. Thank you Deb

  3. Both are gorgeous creatures! Thanks for the introductions.

  4. catcalls says:

Did you get along with Toga? She sure was a pretty gecko!

    • Kroten says:

I didn’t.Mommy won’t let me near her. Tokay is vicious, once it bites something, it’s hard to take off. The idea of me getting bitten scared her a lot

Toga was a very beautiful lizard. She was about the same length (body-wise, without the tail) as Kame and Kroten, wasn’t she? Her image looks very magnified through the side of the tank.

    • Kroten says:

The picture was taken when I was 1 year old, Toga was longer than me at that time.

As far as I can remember it, Toga and Kame were at the same lenght at that time.

Whoa! Crazy, I didn’t expect to see Toga. Sorry to hear, not sure what happened…perhaps I will find out from reading a few more posts?

    • Kroten says:

We haven’t written how she died yet.we were planing to write it on the day she died but we forgot about it 😦
But we will talk about her in December, the day she showed her tameness toward our Grandpa. Hope we won’t forget about it again

  10. I have to admit that I’m quite petrified of geckos. Once, I accidentally scared a gecko while sweeping the balcony floor and it dropped its tail… the tail-less gecko scrambled off in one direction while the tail wriggled right infront of me. After the incident I felt so guilty for having caused the gecko to lose its tail. Out of curiosity, may I ask if Toga ever dropped her tail before and how long did it take for her to regrow a new one?

    • Novroz says:

Gecko lets its tail go only when they fell threaten. Toga never felt threaten, I supposed. Beside that, my dad avoid touching her tail so much. These lizards and geckos look funny without their tail
