As you all know, Mommy is a teacher and that means that she has the same holiday as her students. The school holiday has started since yesterday. She went home to see her family and of course her favorite nephew….then, WHAT ABOUT US???

Well…she left us all alone in her dormitory room 😦

Why? you might ask. These are the reasons:

1. At first, she didn’t know what to do, to take us home or not.

2. She decided to leave us because she thinks it’s better that way…for our own sake.

3. Turtles are not good with moving in and out, we can become stress easily.

4. Kurome’s stress went on for more than two weeks when she moved us here to the dormitory.

5. She thinks it’s better to be separated for a while than making one of us stress out for no reason.

6. It turns out, on the last days of her school, she wants to join some teachers on a trip to East Java.

7. Taking us home and leaving us there is more risky than leaving us in the dorm.

8. Because her room is no longer her room, her favorite nephew has used her room for him to play. He always asking for her and finally decides to be in her room most of the time.

9. Combination of Us and her nephew is a big No No for her.

10. Rio is a nice boy but very active, he loved playing with us but always makes Mommy worries.

11. There’s no tank in our home as she brought all our tanks to this dorm.

12. Her main concern is how are we supposed to eat…well, she found someone to babysit us, her student 😉

13. We know she will always think of us wherever she is, we will try to be safe and sound till she comes back.

We will be lonely without her but hope she’ll have good trip and us all healthy here.

  1. Stress is not a good thing for pets… it sucks out fun. You’re lucky to have a babysitter 😉 ×0×0× Vanilla Bean

  2. I like the last photo too. It made me smile.

  3. Ron. says:

So, you guys are like, um, turtles, right?

  4. Misaki says:

You guys look so sweet together.
I hope you have loads of fun with your mummy’s student and I’m sure she’ll be back very soon.

    • Kroten says:

Mommy’s student only going to feed us. Mommy doesn’t let her do much but feeding us because she is too afraid that we got handled wrongly.

We are okay with her leaving…it’s her who has this contant worry about us.

  5. Sidne says:

I loved reading about the turtles and glad they will not experience any stress this trip. however, when its time for summer vacation, will they go home then?

    • Novroz says:

      Hi Sidne 🙂
We live in Indonesia and there’s no summer holiday here. We only have school holiday every end of semester and Eid-ul Fitr holiday once a year.

I will continue leaving them in the dorm and visit them every once in two days to visit them and let them play in the park, unless I have another trip (I will find another babysitter then).

  6. Mary Quast says:

So true, turtles don’t do well with stress or little busy boy hands. Enjoy your quiet time. 🙂

  7. CountryDew says:

So long as you are fed by the babysitter, you will be fine, little ones!

    • Kroten says:

      Hear hear!!!
Well we wont have time to strecth our legs by walking around Mommy’s room but as long as we have food, I think we’ll be okay 😉

  8. Amy and Toby says:

You will be better in your home, that’s why we prefer for our daughter to dogsit instead of boarding Toby but it doesn’t always work out. Rio will be able to learn to play gently with you when he gets a bit older.
All this time, and I didn’t know you were in Indonesia! But I visited the “About” page when I saw that your mom would visit East Java – not exactly around the corner for us! Excellent English my friend! Now please post some pics from Java after the holiday for us Westerners 🙂

    • Kroten says:

I don’t get stress easily, it’s Kurome she worries about…and yeah Rio will play with us constantly and handling turtles too much is not good, it can also make us stress. We sure hope he’ll understand better when he gets older 😉

Aaaww…thank you Aunty Amy 🙂 ((hug))
Mommy will post it in her blog but we promise to share it here too 🙂

If it’s only a few days, I’m sure everything will be fine.

  13. Heather L says:

Love that bottom photo. I’m glad the three of you will enjoy a stress-free holiday while Mommy is away.

  14. […] although my heart aches because I have to leave my three little babies all alone in the dormitory (13 Reasons Why We Are Left in Dormitory) … I will pray everyday that nothing happens to them while I am […]

  15. I bet you guys are going to miss her so much!

  16. Binky says:

It’s always difficult to leave your babies. Maybe you could set up some sort of webcam so you could watch them when you’re away.

I really like those two pictures of your turtle family!

  17. Nekoneko says:

Be good for your sitter!! No mischief…. 😉

    • Kurome says:

Hehehe she hasn’t complaining anything to mommy…that means we were doing no mischief or whatsoever. We did our mischief when she wasn’t around 😉
