As we have shared before, we always chase Mommy around before she goes to work (see Chasing Mommy). The chase doesn’t always go well because there’s an evil thing in our room. IT often deceives us. IT makes us think that we are chasing our Mommy where in fact IT alters us from Mommy.
What I meant by IT is something human called as MIRROR! Awful thing, I tell you!
Don’t think IT only deceives me!!
IT also deceives Kurome!
Fellow pets…beware of the evil thing called mirror!!

I will try that with Hell-mut too, bet he like the guy in the mirror :o) I always bark on this guy, but he is fearless, so I better run like you :o)
I didn’t run, I just realized that Mommy was on the other side 😉
Snorts. I think I know that evil thing called a mirror. It shows a fat pig here at the Hotel Thompson. XOXO – Bacon
Fat pig?? hmmm maybe it’s you 😉
Shocked look – me?! A fat pig? Snorts. I’ll have you to know that I work extra hard on this exquisite pot belly. It takes a lot of work you know. Snorts. XOXO – Bacon
I believe you Bacon, I was just teasing…well sort of 😉
Snorticles. I know. I get teased a lot. It’s okay. I wear it with pride – 🙂 XOXO – Bacon
Shame on that evil mirror for fooling you cuties like that. We say cover that thing up so you can follow your mommy with no obstacles. Hugs and nose kisses
That’s a good idea Aunty Mag…I will tell mommy that! ((hug))
Hahaha!! Don’t feel badly… Mirrors freak out cats too… my lil’ Ting-Ting is scared silly of the strangely familiar “kitty” that she thinks lives in our closet. She will hiss and attack that “stranger” with fierce fury unless I leave that closet door closed in the bedroom so she can’t see herself in the changing mirror.
She’s very territorial and thinks she’s protecting us from some weirdly “scentless” cat trying to sneak up on us. So silly… but also so cute.
Why do you invent mirror anyway? I think the intention is to make a fool of us…pets! 😉
Humans have devised many strange devices for unknown purposes. You must always be aware!
I hear you Bink!! I wonder why they need such things, maybe human like strange things.
Humans are strange, and strange creatures are drawn to strange things!
Hear hear!!
…but that means we are also strange because she is drawn to us
I have no experience with this thing you call mirror!

Lucky you 🙂
Ok, now that’s the funniest thing. I wouldn’t have thought turtles would react to mirrors, but they’re very sight-oriented, right? Those pictures are great!
–Woofs and purrs from Life with Dogs and Cats.
Sight oriented…maybe. I think they are more smell oriented but yeah the mirror thing is amusing and makes me wonder about their sight
Oh my! That’s HILARIOUS!!!
That’s not hilarious aunt Flea…that’s embarrassing 😦
Hey Guys
I don’t like the mirror either, I usually either bark at it or ignore it! 🙂
Stay strong,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
I should learn to bark like you…but we don’t have voice…I will improvise 😉
Mummy doesn’t like mirrors either, she says they show her wrinkles lol
Huahahah my Mommy says it shows her fat…she forces us to go on diet while she herself failed to do so 😉
aww so cute haha!
Thank you Nicole 🙂
:D. Sometimes, I let my turtles reflect themselves in mirror. Once, one of them fluttering with her own reflection. I wonder do turtles realize that?
Fluttering means that he/she defends his/her territory or mating sign…so I guess they think the one in the mirror are another turtles
I guess that’s proof positive that tortoises are visually oriented.
I also think they can differentiate colors…not so good but I think it’s not black and white for them.
I need to do more research on them to be sure.
