You all know that I live on the third floor of my school and living there gives me more time to play with my baby turtles 🙂

The school starts at 7.30am and since it is less than 5 minutes from my room to teacher office, I always come 2-3 minutes before 7.30. It’s not because I am lazy but it’s more because of my turtles, I often play with them too long. They are so active in the morning.

Here’s a video why I always come near 7.30 to the office.

I look a bit fat there 😦

Now, you might notice that I keep calling Kroten and rarely calling Kurome…it’s simply because I don’t need to call for Kurome, he is always up for chasing game 😉

I have other videos of me playing with them…will share them soon. Unfortunately there’s still no video of me playing with Papoe because he is still too shy. But I am sure one day he will play with me just like Kroten and Kurome 🙂

Here are the pictures I used for the closing:

Hi, I recently rescued a painted turtle hatchling. How can I start the process of making her like your turtles? I am willing to do what ever it takes and put in the work. Please give me all of your advice! I’d love to share pictures and videos, too! She already follows my hands around when I’m in her tank. Thank you!!!

I like the way Kurome is looking way up after you picked up Kroten. “Pick me up, too, pick me up!”

    • Novroz says:

Hahaha…yes he has that expression most of the time. He is such a cutie. My next video (when I have time to edit it) will show how incredibly adorable Kurome is.

That’s amazing to see! They actually follow you around and clearly love to be picked up. I thought turtles just sat around but yours are so busy and active!

    • Novroz says:

      Thank you Toby 🙂

I used to think so too (before I have one) but Kame showed affection and I learned from her that even a cold blooded animal and sometimes considered as slow animal can still be as warm as other warm blooded animal 🙂

  5. Naaah, you don’t look fat, you look GREAT! That’s so cute how you climb on your mom’s hand. Do you think Hell-mut will do that once too? Have a super saturday!

    • Novroz says:

Heheheh the one that looks fat is me, the mommy…Kroten is not that fat anymore as she had undergone strict diet 🙂

I am not sure how different a tortoise and a turtle can be…BUT I believe all animals can be trained when we love them so much.

You have me smiling. They are both so eager. You are so wonderfully gentle with them.

Aren’t they just the most interesting creatures? I remember when my res, Lily, turned around and played closer to me when i called her name. I hope you have a shell of a day! 😀 ❤

  8. Your blog teaches me so much. I would never have guessed that turtles had so much personality. And you can see how much they like to be picked up. Love it!

My mom love turtles. She once had a Greek tortoise. She had him for many years but he is dead now. She bought it before Greek tortoises were protected. Now it’s not allowed to trade them. He allways showed up in the kitchen when he wanted some food. He loved strawberrys.

love how keen they are to be picked up and how attentive they are to you:-)

Awwww, sooooo sweet!!!! I love how happy your turtles are!!! They look like they just come running for love and can’t get enough. They love you so! It’s so wonderful to see!!! I want to get some now. I wonder how my dogs would react to them. They’re alot faster than I thought they would be. Precious!!! Thank you for loving them like you do!

    • Novroz says:

Thank you greyzoned/angelsbark (not sure how to call you 😉 )
I love them so much, so I sure hope they love me back through that act of chasing and lifting up.

The slow one is tortoise, turtles are quite fast. I have seen a lot of good interaction between dogs and turtles…and cats. There’s one video where a little turtle is teasing a dog…so cute.

Thank you for stopping by and your nice comment ((hug))

  13. I was not aware that turtles could be so much fun! That is so cool!

  14. I love this video. They are so responsive, and so fast!!! You are so gentle with them, and they clearly love you!!! They are also adorable, and no one looks fat.
