Dear all,
So sorry if I can’t all your comments as soon as you want because being a working mother really takes all my time away from blogging.
I will answers all your comments when I finally have time…mostly during school’s holiday.
Sorry to say this is a late post 😦
Being a working housewife sure takes all my time away. I do remember her gotcha day BUT I hardly had time to sit in front of the computer and start writing about her special gotcha day. I hope she forgives me for this late Gotcha day post 😉
I got Papoe 4 years ago, in March 11, 2012 to be exact. She was soooo tiny and sooo cute. I am happy to say that I got her from a breeder, she was not captured from the wild. Papoe’s species is not the type you can find anywhere, she is a bit rare…it’s easier to find her type here because she belongs in Papua (hence her name is Papoe – read pa-poo)
She is still the shyest in the family but she sure is the prettiest in the family. She changes into a beautiful turtle so different to when I first got her.
Let’s see how she has changed so much:
The first few days after I bring her home, pay attention to her dark colour.
4 year old Papoe, so bright…but still has the same smile
I have three turtles, four if you count my baby Kamechan who had passed away. All four of them have their own personal act when it comes to camera time. Kame was a great model, I alwyas got good shot of her. Kroten followed her older sister’s habit so I always got great shot of her too. Papoe is the shy one but it is easy to get a good picture of her…now, my only boy is a totally different!! He is always running away and so hard to have a good picture of him.
Here’s 13 pictures of Kurome and his sisters.
1. An Old Picture, I was trying to put them in stack and of course Kurome wouldn’t even stay on Kroten for longer than 2 seconds
As Papoe had mentioned in her post (Perfect Shed), we had 2 good news. Papoe has shred hers last week…now It’s time for me to share the other good news.
The good news is …… #DrumRolls …. Mommy is pregnant \(^_^)/
So….that means we will have a hu-sibling 🙂
She/he is only 4 weeks old now, the doctor said it’s still only the pocket. Next month we can see the baby inside the pocket. I hope our future hu-sibling is a boy, but boy or girl is okay.
You can the USG result here. The small round pocket on the top left is our future hu-sibling
I have great news for everyone 🙂
Well…actually we have 2 good news but Kroten will share the other news two days from now 😉
Now, I want to share good news regarding my shell. I have had my perfect shed \(^_^)/
If you don’t know what shedding is you can read all about it here> Turtle Fact #9: Scutes.
This is the latest picture of me during my shedding process:
I just realized that WordPress has no reblog option anymore so I can’t reblog my post at Polychrome Interest to this blog 😦
Anyway…sorry to have abandoned Underneath The Shell for quite so long…but things will be changed soon as I am beginning to adjust now.
So…what had been going on were these:
You can read more about it here> Reasons for my long Hiatus
Stories of my babies will be back in this blog soon…somewhere this week 😉
We will try to visit you all again soon…hope everyone is doing well (hug)

I do believe you have noticed that our blog is a bit abandoned…well very abandoned to be precised. This will go on a bit longer than we thought.
In our last post, we wrote that “Mommy has been extremely busy with both her work and her private life“. Her work is currently in its busiest moment where she has to prepare the report card for end of semester and preparing the properties of her school’s concert. Her school always has school concert in the end of the year. So she has her hands full with her work. When she is not working, she prefers to play with us instead of helping us updating our blog (and her blog as well). Other than that…we are going to share a bit of Mommy’s private life which will also concerned us. Soon, we will have a hu-dad…Yes! Inshaa Allah (if Allah wills it) she will get married this month.
Thankfully, though our future dad is not a reptile lover but he knows well how much Mommy loves us and he will accept us in the family…well, I think it’s more like we will accept him in our happy little family 😉
To prove that our future dad agrees with Mommy’s love for reptiles, they often went dating where there were gathering of reptile lovers. Mommy loves to see all the reptiles there and sometimes, when she felt like it, she had a picture with one of the reptiles.
Here are the pictures, look at how happy Mommy’s face when she held them…BUT I can assure you that her happiest face is when she is with us 😉
With bearded dragon. She really wants to have one of these.
