were they shy when you first got them?n how long do they stay shy? because i have 3 baby re ear sliders n i got them 2 days ago.Ive been lookin everwere to get my answere n i they didnt tell me!!! 😦
I have three turtles now and each has different level of shyness.
Kame was the less shy of all. She was attached to me in less than a week. But Kroten needed a whole year to finally warmed up to me. My little Papoe, the newest one, is now already 4 month old and still shy…but less than when he first came to my house.
Be patience with yours…turtle has different personality.

can you steel tell us more facts about how to train your turtle igot mine just 3 days ago their hatchlings from turtleshack rumors say that they abuse their turtles so if they do im saving their life ilove turtles.Novroz can i put aldult gold fish in with my baby red ear sliders? probaly tomorow i will post my updates n unboxing vids on my website n youtube!!!!
I don’t know the behaviour of adult gold fish toward baby RES…but somehow I don’t think that’s a nice idea…They might hurt the baby

kame and kroten are soooooooooo well behaved! I hope my turtles (3 of them) behave like that when they get older! ..altthough, i have very little hope for sandy (5 years old)…. lol ill stick to bubbles and jimmy!..how did u even get your turttles to behave SOO well novroz?

I see that you have found my How To Train Your Turtle post…that’s how I make them well behave, that and a lot of love. To me, they are no different than having cat or dog as pets. They are my little babies 🙂

Kroten is actually very picky…she is very shy. It takes years to make her loves me.
It’s not about being lucky to find them but also about how we treat them which then lead to them loving me back.
I live in Indonesia.

My turtles are my babies..they are all unique in their own way
I also have 3 turtle My turtle are naughty but they not picky but i lost them like 4 times i keep forgeting to put my turtle in the tank i also drop them but not high level im a bad owner i think my turtle are all babies actually how many days can res turtle live if their healthy?
A turtle can live up to 25-30 years

Your turtles are gorgeous!
I got one three days ago, it’s only a baby and very small. Names Squirt (finding memo) ahah
I want to beable to hand feed him one day and I’ve only been dropping the food in just for Squirt to feel comfortable as hes still quite shy off course. I’m just wondering when should it be a good time to try and start hand feeding him?
