Thank you Katy 🙂 and welcome to the site.
Fact #5 has an misspelled word. I think it’s suppose to say “what” but there is no “w”. This happens all the time in my blog. Trying to help you out! Could you maybe help me out at my blog? If you see anything misspelled, could you please leave a reply or email me at trailerparkturtles@live.com? Here is the link to my blog: http://trailerparkturtles.wordpress.com/
Thanks! and your welcome! 🙂
Thank you for correcting me Jordan 🙂
I edited my post straight away.
Unfortunately, I am not good in correcting spelling as I am not a native, I did a lot of typo myself 😉
I like your Turtle page Miss. Novia 🙂

I put a post on your facebook page too. My turtle always wants out. We let him out everyday. He never wants to go pack in his tank. He literally fights us. I also seriously think he hides from us on purpose so we cant put him back. How long can he safely stay out. I only make him go back because I think he needs time in the water.
Hi Cynthia 🙂
I have seen and replied your comment at our page 🙂
Mine stay all night long on the ground.
I have two red-ear sliders!!! They are so cute!!! I name they Timon and Pumbaa!!!
Cool 🙂
It’s always nice to meet another turtle parent 🙂
[…] Turtle Fact […]
I have a pet murray river turtle, and I have noticed when he walks his claws are make his feet point up at a nearly 60 degree angle from the floor? Do you think it i should take him to a vet to have his claws trimmed?
Hey so I’m getting a musk turtle on Friday and I don’t really know much about them like how to care for them how to know if they’re happy and things like that. Also I’m terrified of been bitten by things and I’ve read that they can bite you? How could I prevent this from happening? Thanks so much for your help 🙂 oh I forgot to mention its a baby it’s about as big as a 2p coin.
If it’s a baby then you don’t have to worry about being bitten…there are a lot of other things you need to worry about like how to handle stress and give him good place
You should add more pages! This is really helpful!
Thank you Leah.
I have more information on the species at Herptile spotlight. I will try to add more pages when I have more free time 🙂
Hi, i got 2 RES and i was just wondering how can you stop 1 turtle from bitting the other one? Rudy is a 3 year old male and the 2 year old likes to bite him. how can I stop the baby from butting him?
So far…I can’t stop it.
I also have two turtles like that, so all I do is separate them
I have a male red eared slidder.
His name is speedo.
He is 4 months old.
We are scared that he is not growing properly.
His shell color seems a bit different.
We are scared that we are overfeeding him. (20 pellets I’m the morning and 20 in the night)
He is gets scared of us and hides.
We donno what temperature should hi water be.
Your turtles look healthy.
I would request you to share your turtles daily routine it would help us a lot
Hi Simran…
I wish I can update their daily routine but I am bit overwhelmed with motherhood…I don’t even have time to update this blog, only replying comments. Why are you not sure that he isn’t growing properly?
I love reading about how well you treat your turtles. My wife got a res for an early birthday gift from her sister her birthday is October 8 but her sister doesn’t think kahuna(baby res name) needs a big area to swim around in. How do I tell her she’s wrong about kahuna and was wondering if my bedroom light will keep kahuna from sleeping. I don’t want anything to happen to him bc my wife really loves turtles and I’m getting a baby res myself next month but I don’t want kahuna to not be able to sleep just bc my wife likes to keep the light on all night. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and this is my first time posting on this site.
Hi Eli,
You can go to redearslider.com where there are a lot of information why turtles need big tanks. The common sense is that they are river turtles who usually swim in the river so it’s only natural to provide them with space to swim around.
It’s okay, bedroom light won’t affect Kahuna’s sleep
